We know summer can be the hardest time of year to keep up a yoga practice so WE are throwing a challenge at YOU: To keep showing up (or to get back) on your mat with us for our 2017 SUMMER ABHYASA CHALLENGE!

The heart of the Summer Challenge is Abahyasa: defined as a commitment to your yoga practice. A commitment to Discipline: a key element to living your best life!  

Our yoga challenges are always epic fun as you know…but we have come to realize that sometimes it is almost impossible to get 30 classes in 30 days so we are changing things up a bit. This summer we have created a challenge that is actually do-able on your terms!

We are giving you a 100 days (June 1-September 8th) to complete the challenge of your choice:

14 Classes (approx one class/week)

40 Classes (approx 3.5 classes/week)

50 Classes (approx 4 classes/week)

60 Classes in (5 classes/week)

All you have to do is pick your challenge and attend classes 🙂 It’s that easy! You can double/triple up on days if you choose. However, we encourage you to take some time to plan and schedule your yoga classes the same way you schedule other commitments in your life. Try to set a weekly schedule that you can commit to so that you are not cramming in several classes a day at the end of August when the challenge is winding down. The challenge is about finding discipline and balance so that we are not overworked and more stressed out.

Sunday Sound Bath: July 2nd 5-6:30PM with Raechal Levin


This 1 1/2 hour blissful practice will integrate Restorative Yoga postures all while being bathed in the energy cleansing vibrations of the crystal singing bowls.  This the perfect opportunity to take time to unwind, destress, and renew your body, mind, and spirit.

Full Moon Friday Night “Flight" Club: July 7th 6:45-8PM with Raschel Kloos


Once a month, on the Friday closest to the Full Moon, the Black Sheep Yoga Flight Club meets:  The 1st Rule of Flight Club-Forget Fear!

Join Raschel Kloos for an evening of gravity-defying fun at this empowering class full of inversions and arm balances. You will be carefully guided into a variety of basic to advanced asanas, which will diversify and strengthen your practice. You will explore variations of the postures and play with fun and challenging transitions. This class is an excellent opportunity for you to advance your practice, flip your perspective, and build confidence, courage and greater focus.

While we welcome all students, this class is best suited for those with some prior exposure to inversions. A willingness to try something new and exhilarating is a must! Take the leap, and join us!

SUP+SIP: Sunset/Full Moon Paddle in Oceanside Harbor: Sunday , July 9th 7:15-8:30PM with Candice Core

On each night of the full moon this summer we will hold a SUP+SIP Sunset/Full Moon Paddle. We will meet at the OCEANSIDE sign at the harbor docks and the paddle will take place as we sail off as the sun sets and moon rises up in the warm summer sky as we take a leisurely paddle around the harbor. We will then return to the docks for some light refreshments to top off this magical evening.

$25 includes SUP Board+paddle+PFD+snacks. BYOB your favorite adult beverage! Only 6 spots available for a more intimate experience so sign up and reserve your spot now!

SPECIAL SATURDAY COMMUNITY YOGA BENEFIT CLASS: July 15th! 12:30-2PM with Heidi Minga+Traycie Mitchell+Ellen Duggan

Join Be Well for a special donation-based yoga class led by Heidi Minga and Traycie Mitchell and assisted by Ellen Duggan. 
Enjoy a fun, all level 60 minute flow followed by light refreshments and drinks.
Suggested $20 minimum donation.  All donations will help the Be Well Foundation provide scholarships for patients who attend the Be Well Yoga for Cancer Recovery classes (who would not be able to do so otherwise).

Looking for a Sunday morning yoga class to get you energized and ready for your day while helping you build strength and flexibility?  This is the class for you!  Utilizing Sun Salutations, strength building and connected movements, this class will build confidence and help you stay present and centered and empower you with the strength to face anything that comes your way!

Yoga for Cancer Recovery-Donation Based Class: Monday's 4-5PM with Mary Baker and Heidi Minga and Sunday's 3:30-4:30PM with Ellen Duggan and Morgen Brunner
Black Sheep Yoga and Be Well Yoga for Cancer Recovery are honored to offer this donation-based weekly yoga class to anyone living with cancer-either in active treatment or recovery.  Our Be Well Yoga for Cancer Recovery classes help bring life back into balance.  Your Be Well teachers are specifically trained in yoga for cancer, providing practical tools and gentle guidance designed to meet the unique needs of cancer patients and survivors.  Classes will include: mindful movement, breathing techniques, guided imagery and deep relaxation: all proven to help reduce stress and promote healing.
Your donations support the Be Well Scholarship Fund, helping to provide Yoga for Cancer recovery classes and private sessions for those living with cancer who are in financial need. 

Yoga Basics: Thursday nights 7-8PM with Vanessa Wolverton


This class is designed for anyone brand new to yoga or students interested in going back to the fundamentals of the practice. Foundational yoga postures and breathing practices will be covered in an approachable and open environment. Completion of a few of these classes will prepare students for other ongoing classes at the studio. 

Class will meet once a week, each Thursday.
