Vinyasa, which translates from Sanskrit to “flow” or “to move in a special way,” emphasizes the synergy between breath and movement. Flowing through inventive and thoughtful sequences of sun salutations, standing & seated postures, back bending, and inversions - guided by a steady breath, warms the body inside out, allowing the practitioner to move deeper into poses while helping to build strength and flexibility while staying present and centered.
This yoga style is inherently diverse, and sequencing varies based on each teacher’s training certifications and personal practice. No matter the teacher’s style, each of our instructors will always offer knowledge-based pose modifications that are appropriate for beginners through advanced yogis.
